First World War GUIDING

Trench Tours have been planning, organising and delivering Battlefield Tours to the Western Front since 1989, taking pride in providing safe educational experiences. 

This tour takes students through the most famous battlefields of WW1 in Belgium and France, providing them with an immersive educational experience.

You will have the chance to explore one of Europe’s most important cities, taking in its history, culture, architecture, and cuisine.

• Where possible, we offer hotel-quality accommodation and delicious food is guaranteed. 
• Research is made on relatives of students who were killed in the war. 
• Where possible, we incorporate visits to relatives’ cemeteries and memorials.
• GCSE groups can be provided with a booklet which will assist with the examination.
• Each trip will have an experienced guide, with Enhanced DBS, who will adapt the itinerary to match the interests and age of the group. 
• Consideration is given to providing a well-rounded trip. 
• Museums, cemeteries, and battle sites are integral but poetry and music sessions broaden the experience. 
• Thought is given to the evenings and activities are planned including bowling. 
• All students are provided with a trip Hoodie.
